Based in the Greater Toronto Area, Global PMO Solutions, Inc. – GPMOS helps organizations connect strategy and execution to meet their business objectives by creating sustainable Project, Program, Portfolio, and PMO practices. As the name suggest, we are global and focused on PMO and all that relates to PMO. We achieve this through our unique “AIM” approach to consulting and training.

Dr. Waffa Karkukly, PMP, ACP, CMP is the President and Managing Director for Global PMO Solutions – GPMOS. During her career, she has been involved in managing technology and project management offices for fortune 100 as well as small size organizations. She is a strategist and change agent transforming organizations through alignment between strategy and operation and delivering through projects, programs and portfolios.

Waffa is an author of two books, and a contributor to third. One, Outsourcing PMO Functions for Improved Organization Performance which was the thesis. Second, Managing the PMO lifecycle is used as a reference book by University of Toronto (U of T). Third, Contributor on Agile PMO chapter in the Performance of Projects and Project management. All books can be found on amazon.com. Waffa is a coach, frequent speaker and panelist at the various conferences, guest lecturer at Universities and Project events globally. She is a lead instructor at U of T, and Academic supervisor to PhD and Masters Students at Skema business schools, overseeing thesis pertaining to Project management, PMO, Agile and strategy implementation.

Waffa has a BSC in Information Systems from DePaul University and an MIT from Northwestern University in the United States, and a PhD from SKEMA School of Business in France. She is a (PMP) and (ACP) by the Project Management Institute (PMI®), as well as a Change Management Practitioner (CMP). Waffa is dedicated to improving the understanding and standards of project management practices, especially in the value proposition of building and sustaining successful PMOs.
